DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - Danville City Council approved the purchase of a security camera system for its parks Tuesday night.

The estimated cost for the system is $200,000.

The decision comes after the death of 18-year-old Aniyah Davis at Winter Park in June.

The cameras will be installed at all 10 of Danville's parks, including the Douglas Discovery Garden.

The installation is expected to take around four to six months.
