BUFFALO, N.Y. — It wasn't long after the embers cooled from separate fires — which first destroyed the Old Pink 14 months ago and the Mulligans Brick Bar six months later — when people began to wonder what would become of the now-vacant lots near the corners of Allen and Mariner streets in Buffalo’s fabled Allentown neighborhood.
