NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — One person died Friday after an e-bicycle collided with a tow truck in Niagara Falls.
The incident happened some time around 11:40 a.m. Friday. That's when the Niagara Falls Police Department Crash Investigation Unit was called to the intersection of Ontario Avenue and Lockport Street to investigate a crash.
A spokesperson for the Niagara Falls Police Department said a 2018 Ram tow truck was heading west on Ontario Avenue. That truck was passing through a green light at Lockport Street when it struck an e-bike that had entered the intersection.
"The bicyclist was traveling the wrong way on 16th Street, a one-way roadway, and had made a right turn in front of the truck," police said.
