BUFFALO, N.Y. — For one Lackawanna man, life has been a little lonely, far from home and missing a beloved companion.

Thanks to a local program at Catholic Health , that's all about to change.

Richard Crews moved to Western New York from New York City knowing no one. That's when the LIFE program stepping in, connecting senior to medical help , transportation, and friendship.

His doctor, Amy Becker, knows the healing power of companionship, human or animal. She helped connect Crews with the local SPCA to Crews. On August 8th, Crews visited the SPCA with LIFE staff to met cats specially for him.

"I now feel more complete," Crews said.
