ALBANY, Ky. (WBKO) - A wanted rape suspect was arrested in Clinton County.

On Aug. 3, Sheriff Ricky Marcum with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office said that 36-year-old Spencer Micheal Althouse, allegedly from Ohio, was arrested and charged with first-degree rape.

The investigation began when Assistant Chief Wayne Glover took a rape report and followed up with the investigation and warrants.

Information was obtained on Marcum’s whereabouts, and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, the Albany Police Department, and officers from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife located the tent that Althouse was staying in on Indian Creek Road.

Officers surrounded the tent, called him out, and he was taken into custody without issue.
