FARGO — Lincoln Carpetland Rugs center fielder Dele Odulate walked back to the dugout between innings with a toothy grin Thursday afternoon.
Odulate paced Lincoln with three hits and four RBIs in the Rugs’ 10-0 five-inning win over the West Fargo Patriots in the American Legion baseball Central Plains Regional winner’s bracket semifinals at Starion Bank Field.
“I try to stay patient (and) get pitches in the zone,” Odulate said. “I chased a bit, but I locked back in and then got some pitches to hit.”
Lincoln advances to the winner’s bracket finals against the winner of Fargo Post 400 and Shakopee at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at Starion Bank Field.
