SAN SABA, Texas (KWTX) - The Old Mill House located at Mill Pond Park on Thomas Stewart Drive in San Saba is in trouble.
Recent floodwaters ripped through the historic building and left it unusable. Frequent visitors are worried its history will be erased if they don’t restore it.
“It is 30 feet down to the ground down there and we have an elevated AC unit so the water was up here because there is mud on the unit,” said Debbie Shahan, a former president of the San Saba Garden Club.
The exterior of the house is what San Sabans are familiar with. It doesn’t look like anything has changed.
