UNION COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Detectives from several local law enforcement agencies in Union County are investigating multiple drive-by shootings believed to be gang-related that occurred in August.

One of the shootings occurred on Taylor Street in the Wingate area, where numerous rounds were fired into an occupied home. Just days later, another shooting took place on Neptune Way in Wingate, during which approximately 50 rounds were fired into a second occupied residence.

No one inside either home was injured.

Detectives have arrested and charged 19-year-old Jaylen Richardson of Monroe and 21-year-old Jaden Satterfield of Monroe.

A third suspect, who is under the age of 18, has also been arrested.
