SAULT STE. MARIE — Organizers of the 2025 Soo Film Festival have finalized this year’s lineup, featuring 63 selections from 260 entries, with something planned for nearly every type of moviegoer.

The festival will take place Sept. 10-14 at the historic Soo Theatre and Bayliss Public Library in downtown Sault Ste. Marie. The event focuses on independent and emerging filmmakers from the Great Lakes region, celebrating their creativity and storytelling across a range of genres.

“We had another really good year of featured-film admissions,” said Jason Markstrom, Soo Film Festival president. “I think it says the film production in the Great Lakes is pretty healthy to have that many featured films be submitted.”
