TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Thomas University football team has a new head coach in Vincent Davis. Coach and his Night Hawks got practice rolling Thursday, and although they have some hurdles to overcome, that season opener is looming.

Thomas is currently waiting for some guys to get cleared, but the hope is that they’ll be in pads on Friday. It’s a start coach feels puts them behind the eight ball a bit, but he says he’s been pleased with the way they’ve shown up.

TU, still with some obstacles to overcome, as they’re waiting the arrival of some of their coaching staff and even a few more members of the team, but the good news? Over 30 guys were here last year so there is some experience, with coach saying everyone is working hard to get ready for that season opener.
