TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Florida A&M University President Marva Johnson has made one of her first key decisions as president with the announcement of new FAMU executives.

Former FAMU trustee Kelvin Lawson is the new executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) of FAMU, according to a Thursday press release from the university.

Johnson said in the press release that Lawson will bring “added value” to his new position with his experience as a student, alumnus and former trustee.

Donald E. Palm, who previously served as COO and executive vice president, will now work as executive vice president for Health Sciences Enterprise and Research Innovation.
