ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (KCTV) - In a week that has seen distinguished visitors like former Missouri Gov. Mike Parson and Royals Hall-of-Famer George Brett, the biggest star of all just might be the smallest.

Josiah Medler is a six-year-old Chiefs fan with a love for tight end Travis Kelce.

KCTV first met him last fall when he was healing up after a lifetime spent battling heart problems.

The Southern Illinois native had become a fan of Kelce. On Thursday, he got to see his hero face-to-face for the first time.

“And it was so great!” Josiah said. “Kelce said, ‘Hi,’ and I said, ‘I love you!’”

“Travis said to him ‘What’s up big guy?’ and Josiah told him ‘Have a good day at work,’” Josiah’s mom Dorie said. “It totally made his day.”
