DES MOINES, Iowa -- There are three Iowa Democrats in the race to win the party's nomination for Republican Senator Joni Ernst's seat.

Nathan Sage was at the Iowa State Fair at the Iowa Democratic Party booth talking with Iowans about what issues matter to them. Sage also communicated the issues he deems as priorities and what he would push for if he was elected.

Sage is the only candidate on the Iowa Democrat side that is not a state-elected official. State Representative J.D. Scholten (D) and State Senator Zach Wahls (D) are both also vying for the seat. When asked about how he views the primary competition, he feels that his message will resonate the most with voters.
