IVINS, Utah (ABC4) — Ivins residents got a wake-up call from Mother Nature in the form of a rockslide coming down from the Red Cliffs above the city Wednesday afternoon.

There were no reports of any injuries or damage due to the slide, but it made for quite the sight, even being captured on ABC4's Black Desert Camera:

'Sounded like gunshots'

For Ivins resident Hollie Hope, she says it is a startling reminder of Southern Utah's rugged landscape, and adds the sound of the slide was impossible to ignore.

"It sounded like a gunshot, then sounded like multiple gunshots," Hope says.

When Hollie heard the noise, she says she ran onto her roof for a better look at what was happening, and saw the slide unfolding. Hollie adds that she knows the mountain's makeup allows it to be prone to movemen
