BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) - For decades, the Academy of Careers and Technology has offered technical and vocational education in the local area. Staff have been working to make sure those programs stay available.
Recent legislation presented to the WV House of Delegates could put control of local technical programs at risk. If passed, House Bill 3452 would transfer administration of advanced career education from county boards to community and technical colleges.
