COLUMBUS, Ohio — A house on the city’s south side was shut down Wednesday after being declared a public nuisance, according to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office.

The property, located at 669 E. Mithoff St., was the subject of a lawsuit filed Aug. 5 by the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office Nuisance Abatement Unit and the Columbus City Attorney’s Office Property Action Team. The filing followed an investigation that officials said found evidence of ongoing drug trafficking and possession at the residence.

According to Shayla Favor’s office, the Columbus Division of Police responded to the address 29 times since January 2023 for reports that included shots fired, assault, cutting/stabbing, drug overdoses, domestic violence and stolen vehicles.
