SAN DIEGO -- The Wisconsin men's basketball team is headed to the beach for Thanksgiving. The Badgers will play Providence on Nov. 27 for the first game of the Rady Children's Invitational in San Diego.

The game will tip off at 4:30 p.m. CT and will air on FS1. The Badgers will play either Florida or TCU on Nov. 28, depending on the results of both games.

Wisconsin is on a two-year winning streak in Thanksgiving week invitationals. The Badgers won the Greenbrier Tip-Off last year and the Fort Myers Tip-Off the year before.

The Badgers' history against Providence is not as pretty. The Friars took care of Wisconsin, 63-58, in Madison in 2021, never trailing in the second half. The 2023 rematch in Rhode Island went even worse for the Badgers, as Providence scored a 72-59 blowout win.
