EAGAN, Minn. — For Minnesota Vikings linebacker Blake Cashman, the offseason was pretty tame.

The Eden Prairie native stayed around the Twin Cities, caught up with some friends and family, and completed a few house projects.

Entering his seventh season in the NFL, the former University of Minnesota standout took it easy in the summer months, knowing what his next project would be.

"I really believe that we're forming a monster here," said Cashman, speaking about the new-look defense. "Exciting things are going to happen this season."
