NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — No one was home when a residence caught fire Thursday in Noblesville .
According to the Noblesville Fire Department, just before noon on Aug. 7 firefighters were called to a residence in the 6000 block of Rushing River Road after neighbors reported smoke and flames coming from one of the homes.
Firefighters arrived within minutes and were able to locate the source of the fire inside the home. A water supply was initially established utilizing a fire hydrant across the street, but fire officials say that hydrant later failed.
As a result, fire crews located a second hydrant about a block away that allowed them to fight the fire.
