CHRISMAN, Ill. (WCIA) -- 43 years is equal to 15,705 days or 377,000 hours… It's also how long one Central Illinois woman has spent working at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman.

And, it's why Darla Williming was Tuesday night's everyday hero. Tuesday was Darla's last day at work.

"It's bittersweet this morning coming in," Williming said.

Williming started at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in the dish room when she was 19 years old. It was the first real job she had ever had. Fast forward to this week, and Williming was running the kitchen, like she has the last 43 years.

"A lot of challenges, a lot of changes, but a lot of fun," Williming said.
