The Chandler Unified School District Governing Board made another decision Aug. 6 in its relationship with the Arizona School Boards Association.

But as has been the case over the past three years, what used to be a routine and/or consent-agenda decision is now contested and discussed.

The board unanimously chose board Vice President Barb Mozdzen to be the board’s delegate who’ll vote on the 2025 ASBA political agenda, to be voted on at the Delegate Assembly on Saturday, Sept. 6.

Board President Patti Serrano nominated Mozdzen, a longtime board member and delegate and representative of the district for many events, boards and meetings through the years.

Mozdzen accepted the nomination, conditional upon her being able to attend the event in person.
