SPOKANE, Wash. — On Thursday, Catholic Charities Eastern Washington (CCEW) and Gonzaga University announced the launch of the Spokane Entrepreneurship and Empowerment Network (SEEN) to support low-income families seeking to launch their own small businesses.
Catholic Charities says the program will pilot an economically transformative initiative offering hands-on training, mentorship and consultancy support to aspiring entrepreneurs.
The program targets residents in Catholic Charities housing who aim to launch their first ventures or scale small operations, such as housekeeping, pet care, skilled trades or landscaping businesses.
CCEW says it is the first such agency to join the program in collaboration with the Urban Poverty and Business Initiative (UPBI) at the University of Notre Dam
