Seattle Mariners first baseman Josh Naylor exited Thursday’s series finale against the Chicago White Sox with shoulder soreness, manager Dan Wilson said postgame.

Naylor left the game after showing some discomfort on a trio of swings during a three-pitch at-bat in which he grounded out in to end the bottom of the third. Wilson said the team would further evaluate Naylor, but he wasn’t concerned with any long-term impact and called it a day-to-day situation.

Veteran Donovan Solano came into the game as a defensive replacement for Naylor in the top of the fourth.
