SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Happy Friday eve, Utah! Today's weather will be similar to what we saw yesterday with toasty temperatures and a mix of sun and clouds. Daytime highs will run about 5 degrees above average which translates to mid to upper 90s for valleys, upper 80s to low 90s for cooler spots and high terrain, and low to mid 100s for the usual hot spots.

Triple digits are not out of the question for the Wasatch Front, yesterday the Salt Lake International Airport briefly measured 101 degrees! While the afternoon will start clear for most of us, we'll see increasing clouds coverage through the day. Breezy conditions are expected ahead of an incoming dry cold front, that coupled with the dry vegetation and low relative humidity means fire conditions are critical.
