RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A vehicle hit a pedestrian and then struck the southeast corner of the Eldorado Reno Resort and Casino on North Virginia Street, bounced off the wall, and came to a stop on West 3rd Street at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7, according to the Reno Police Department (RPD).

The vehicle did not go through the casino’s doors.

“Through the preliminary investigation, it was learned that the driver was not impaired and this was an accident, not intentional,” according to a news release. “We are still determining if the driver had a medical episode or if the vehicle had a mechanical issue, resulting in the collision.”

REMSA transported the driver and the pedestrian to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
