SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Thursday afternoon ended up being a pretty decent day weatherwise in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry.
Cloud cover kept high temperatures below normal in the low to mid 70s. Rain showers and storms did not materialize because of more drier air settling into the region than initially expected.
However, the pattern will become more unsettled again for Friday and the weekend with more showers and storms.
A LOOK AHEAD
Rain and storm chances are expected for Friday as a stronger sea breeze is able to develop. Showers and storms will first form along the coast early in the afternoon and then move inland later in the day. Rain and storm chances will continue into Friday evening.
Temperatures on Friday will warm into the mid to upper 80s.
