ATLANTA — A former Clark Atlanta University student filed a lawsuit against the school last Friday for injuries she sustained in the campus' 2023 flooding , according to Fulton County court documents.
The former student was living in CAU's Holmes Hall on James Brawley Drive SW at the time of the flooding, according to the civil suit. She claim she incurred over $117,000 in medical expenses after she was injured trying to escape her dorm room.
