A team from suburban Clarendon Hills secured a spot in the Little League World Series after a victory in the regional title game Wednesday night, marking off a bucket list item for many team members.
“That’s definitely been the ultimate goal to get here," one player said.
The Clarendon Hills squad, who had been thrashed by the team from Hamilton, Ohio’s West Side Little League by a score of 11-1 earlier in regional competition, returned the favor with an emphatic victory in the Great Lakes Regional Championship on Wednesday night.
