First and foremost, let’s give a round of applause to Drake Baldwin after his outstanding performance tonight, strengthening his case for National League Rookie of the Year.

A two-homer night for the rookie, along with five RBIs, first started in the bottom of the first, going yard for the Atlanta Braves to put them on the scoreboard. Marcell Ozuna immediately followed with a homer as well.

Baldwin’s other was in the bottom of the sixth, making it a three-run blast, decreasing the Miami Marlins’ four-run lead by one (6-5).

Oh, but that’s just where it started.

Baldwin also clinched an RBI single, bringing Nacho Alvarez Jr. in for the sixth run in the bottom of the seventh, now tying with the Marlins (6-6) after enduring a quiet four innings with only two runs on the boar
