UPDATE: Athens shooting suspect Carlos Quintana was captured at a residence in Bradley County Thursday night, McMinn County Sheriff Joe Guy says.

PREVIOUS STORY: The Athens Police Department says one person is dead and one injured after a shooting on Tell Street on Wednesday night.

Police believe Carlos Quintana is responsible for the shooting, and are working to locate him.

Police shared to the community on Thursday morning that they believe the incident was a targeted attack. They ask the community to stay cautious and not to approach Quintana.

Police have identified a second suspect, but have not named the person yet.
