HOMEWOOD, Ala. —
The siblings of Jabari Peoples are calling for the full release of the bodycam footage after they say what they saw from the Jefferson County District Attorney left them with more questions than answers.
Homewood police said Wednesday they could not release the body camera video because of certain sections of Alabama Law.
Part of that law states that law enforcement is only to show the portions of it that are relevant to the person's request, according to the Code of Alabama.
But that was part of the frustration from the family yesterday, they were only shown portions of what happened, but there are still actions involving Jabari Peoples' interaction with officers that were left out of the video they were shown.
