State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli announced Thursday, Aug. 7 that two school districts that serve Chenango County were audited and didn’t meet certain requirements regarding potable water and lead exposure.

According to a news release, officials from the Harpursville Central School District, which also serves Broome County, did not properly identify, report or implement remediation to reduce lead exposure in potable water outlets as required by state law and Department of Health regulations.
