Scavenger hunt encourages a closer look at downtown Oneonta

To shine a light on downtown Oneonta buildings and architecture, a local woman created a Main Street scavenger hunt for people to seek out community sites and landmarks.

The hunt began July 4 and runs through Labor Day. Participants can collect a brochure from a number of downtown sites and make their way through the scavenger hunt. Those who post a photo of themselves in action can win a gift certificate from Adaline Ice Cream, Golden Guernsey Ice Cream or Feel Good Smoothie Bar and Café.
