ALEXANDRIA — The Men’s Grand Masters semifinals at the 104th Resorters Tournament at the Alexandria Golf Club are now set as Doug Taylor, Randy Johnson, Ray Sauer, and Peter Keeley won quarterfinal matches on Thursday.

Taylor def. Golden, 3-2

Taylor, the No. 1 seed in this division, started his round strong by winning hole No. 10 with a par, but the No. 8 seed Michael Golden answered on the next hole by tying the match with a par.

Taylor retook the lead with a par on hole No. 14, and then extended his lead to three with a par on hole No. 15 and a bogey on hole No. 16.

Golden chipped away at Taylor’s lead with a birdie on hole No. 18 and a par on hole No. 1.

Taylor won hole No. 4 with a par to lead 2-up, but Golden won hole No. 5. Pars on holes No. 6 and 7 sealed a 3-2 win for Taylor.
