TEMPLE, Texas — On July 15, Temple firefighters were forced to relocate from Station 2 to Station 1 due to a black mold outbreak. Now, the city has a plan to clean up the mess.
The initial news sparked outrage from families of the firefighters who took to Facebook, claiming they had been working in unhealthy environmental conditions for years .
As a result, the city council voted in favor of adopting two resolutions Thursday that would reconstruct the building.
"Items 4A through 4U minus 4C passes five votes to zero," Mayor Tim Davis said.
The first agreement is with Target Solutions of Waco to clean up the mold.
The total estimated amount of that contract will be $54,705.
The second resolution is with brown Reynolds Watford Architects of College Station for design services for the
