SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Kyle Shanahan has admired Bo Nix for a long time. Nothing changed with his opinion Thursday.
After San Francisco and Denver took part in a joint practice at the 49ers’ facility, their head coach lauded the Broncos’ second-year quarterback from Oregon.
“Huge fan of him,’’ Shanahan said. “We loved him coming out of college. I thought what he did last year was unbelievable, but anytime you’ve got a quarterback with a big arm who is very mobile, made of the right stuff, extremely tough. They got a real good one"
Kyle is the son of Mike Shanahan, who coached the Broncos to Super Bowl wins in the 1997 and 1998 seasons and watched the joint practice. The Shanahans saw Nix have a solid day.
