OMAHA, Neb. —

A couple of local golfers are in the hunt after the first round of the Pinnacle Bank Championship at the Club at Indiana Creek in Elkhorn on Thursday.

Creighton Prep and Iowa graduate Alex Schaake shot his best first round at the PBC, firing a 2-under 69 in the opening round.

It's the first time in four times playing the PBC that Schaake shot under par in the first round.

Luke Gutschewski is at 1-under par and is seven shots behind first round leader Peter Kuest, who fired an 8-under 63 in round one.

Gutchewski's playing partner Bio Kim is just two shots out of the lead after shooting a 6-under 65.
