NAPLES, Maine — A Naples man was killed Thursday afternoon after being struck in a driveway during a two-vehicle crash, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened around 4:11 p.m. in the area of 227 Roosevelt Trail. First responders from the sheriff’s office and the Naples Fire Department arrived to find the crash where a male pedestrian had been hit.
Authorities said a 29-year-old West Baldwin man was driving a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee when he swerved to avoid another vehicle, left the roadway, and crashed into a 2013 Ford van parked in a driveway.
Scott Martin, 56, of Naples, was in the driveway and was fatally injured when he was struck.
