INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WLOX) - On Thursday, Indianapolis Colts HC Shane Steichen confirmed that rookie cornerback and former D’Iberville Warrior Justin Walley tore his ACL and will miss the entirety of this upcoming season.

Walley took an early exit before the second half of practice on Tuesday after suffering what was initially reported as a knee injury. Drafted in Round 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Minnesota, the rookie showed promise during training camp sessions, threatening for a starting job amongst defensive backs Charvarius Ward, Jaylon Jones, JuJu Brents and Samuel Womack III.

He was listed as a starter alongside Ward in the team’s first depth chart of the season.

By being drafted, Walley became the 3rd Coast player to be selected into the NFL in the last 3 years .
