THUNDER BAY, Ont. — Only three players recorded a hit for the Duluth Huskies on Thursday, and they committed two defensive errors in an 11-2 loss to the Border Cats.
Jake Downing had two hits that included a home run, and George McIntyre had a double and a run scored, but that was about all the offense the Huskies could muster.
Brode Gann allowed three hits and two runs over two innings and walked four in the loss for Duluth.
The Huskies (22-13) clinched the Great Plains East Division earlier in the week and will host Thunder Bay at 6:35 p.m. Friday at Wade Stadium in Duluth.
