LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Nearly two years after 15-year-old Davin Chance Bizzell-Holmes was shot and killed outside the 12th Street Substation in Little Rock, one of the seven people charged in his death has pleaded guilty.
On Thursday, 18-year-old Charles Gantt III admitted to first-degree murder and a terroristic act in connection with the October 14, 2023, shooting that left Bizzell-Holmes dead and another 15-year-old injured. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
For Davin’s mother, LaTracy Bizzell, the plea brought no sense of closure, and she believes the time should have been longer.
“No, justice has not been served,” Bizzell said. “You know, I have a life sentence. Davin’s life was beautiful, but it was cut short.”
