GREENFIELD, Ind. — The Hancock County prosecutor said Thursday officers were "clearly justified" in a deadly shooting last month in Greenfield.

Officers shot and killed 54-year-old Ted Feasel after responding to a domestic disturbance call on Sedgewick Lane on July 7. According to Indiana State Police, Feasel answered the door but then quickly closed it when officers tried to talk to him.

After trying to talk with Feasel through the door, officers opened it and said Feasel was pointing a gun, later determined to be a .357 Magnum, right at them.

Three officers fired their guns in response. Indiana State Police said the officers then gave Feasel aid while checking the home to see if anyone else was injured.
