LINEVILLE, Iowa -- The town of Lineville suffered severe storm damage Thursday morning after a severe storm passed through the town.

Jeff Landrum, the Assistant Fire Chief of the Lineville Volunteer Fire Department, said he thinks the storm may have been a tornado.

"It'd be great to have National Weather Service. Give us some ideas if this really was a tornado with the way that damage looks throughout the town. We're pretty confident it was," Landrum said.

Trees fell all across town, some of them damaging homes and roofs. Some of the most severe damage occurred at the Lineville Volunteer Fire Department which had a four bay garage completely destroyed.
