A fire that was first reported on Thursday afternoon has prompted evacuations and the overnight closure of Highway 58, two miles east of Oakridge.

The Lane County Sheriff has issued a Level 3 - GO NOW -evacuation notice for Roberts Ranch and Dunning Roads. Level 3 means leave immediately.

According to a Facebook Post from the U.S. Forest Service the fire was at 10 acres with active spread as of 5p.m. on Thursday.

Highway 58 is closed from milepost 36-62 between Oakridge and Willamette Pass. That closure is expected to last overnight.
