A much-loved ale brewed on Nuneaton's doorstep is officially one of Britain's best beers . Church End’s Fallen Angel was nominated by local CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) members for Champion Beer of Britain 2025 .

Known as among the most respected accolades in the beer world , the awards take two years of independent blind tastings and judging to complete.

Finalists are chosen from regional winners submitted by CAMRA members and tasting panels across the country.

The ale, which is not only sold locally but across the region, tickled the taste buds of the panel.

It was praised by judges as a "sweet honey toast, butterscotch aroma with a little spice".

They added: "It’s a rich pale ale with bitter spicy hops that are balanced by notes of honey."
