MANCHESTER, N.H. —

Thousands of runners, walkers and spectators filled downtown Manchester on Thursday for New Hampshire's fastest race.

The Delta Dental-Elliot Corporate 5K, held on Elm Street, has been a summer tradition for more than 30 years.

Pierce Seigne of Norwich, Vermont, won the men's race with a time of 14:56.

"This sport's really about winning and competing. So, you know, like, I definitely just stayed kind of deep in the pack, didn't make myself known. I don't know who came second, but he did some of the work into the win. You know, I hope he's not too mad at me, but, you know, I just kind of ripped it at the last little bit," Seigne said.
