EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — A suspect wanted in connection with the shootings of two East Cleveland police officers late Thursday night has been arrested, officials confirmed Friday morning. Authorities also say two other people were killed in the incident.

During a press conference, Mayor Lateek Shabazz said the situation began around 11 p.m. Thursday as a family dispute.

East Cleveland Police Officer Joshua Durda responded to the area of North Taylor Road to investigate and was shot in the leg. He was taken to University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and is expected to be OK.

Officials then noted that two people were found shot inside the same home and did not survive.
