HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - NFL quarterback Tua Tagovailoa says he does not know why President Donald Trump named him to the White House’s Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition Council .
Though the president fumbled his name during the announcement, the designation is official.
President Trump signed an executive order last week reestablishing a council to advise him and the secretary of Health and Human Services on strategies to improve the health and fitness of Americans.
“How did that all develop? I’m not too sure,” Tagovailoa said when questioned by a reporter during a Miami Dolphins press conference Wednesday.
“I think it’s pretty cool. It’s an honor. I would say I don’t know too much about it, but again, I think that’s an honor.”
The order also revives the presidential fitness test i
