HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - First responders were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on the H-1 Freeway near the Honolulu airport Friday morning.
The crash happened in the eastbound direction at around 7 a.m. on Friday.
Officials said five cars were involved in the critical crash and that two of the vehicles burst into flames.
Officials shut down a portion of the H-1 Freeway and re-routed traffic to the Nimitz Highway off-ramp.
At this time, there is no word on how many were involved or injured.
