HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police arrested a woman on Wednesday after she allegedly used a slingshot to assault an elderly man.

Police said the incident happened at around 9:38 p.m. in Kalihi.

According to HPD, the 32-year-old female suspect used a slingshot and fired rocks at the 72-year-old victim.

The victim suffered lacerations to his neck, police said.

Officers located the suspect shortly after the incident.

While searching the suspect, police said they found a glass smoking pipe in the suspect’s pockets that contained a white residue.

Police arrested the suspect for second-degree assault and for promoting a dangerous drug in the third degree.
